5 Tips for the Perfect Law Firm Website
Law firm website creation is not always easy, but in today’s world, it is an essential part of law firm marketing. When you are building your site, it is usually easiest to have someone who has knowledge of how to build a compelling site help. Still, you are going to want to make sure that you are working with a company that is able to create a great site. Knowing what makes a great law firm website is going to help. Keep in mind the following when you are creating your site or hiring someone to create your site for you.
Tip #1 – Good Layout
The site’s layout is very important. You do not want to have a jumble of content, buttons, and links on your homepage that are difficult to use and difficult to decipher. Things need to be clear, and that means you need to have easy to read fonts that are large and clear. You should make sure that the layout keeps your sidebar or navigation system separate from the main content on the page. Everything should have a place, and the visitor should not have any confusion.
Tip #2 – Easy Navigation
Navigation is also vital for a great website. On your lawyer website design, you are likely going to have quite a few pages. You could have a blog, profiles of the lawyers at the firm, a story about the firm, testimonials, areas of specialty, and any other number of pages. Thus, you need to have easy to use navigation on your site. Each page should have easy to read buttons to navigate to your home page and all of the other pages on your site. You do not want people to feel confused when they are on your site!
Tip #3 – Good Color Scheme
Colors are far more important than one might imagine when it comes to lawyer website design. You want to have some reassuring colors, as most people who are looking for a lawyer are frazzled and uncertain about the future. Blue, gray, and other soothing colors are a good idea. You may want to avoid colors such as red. The colors that you choose should not make it more difficult to read the text on your site. Anyone who has had to try to read green text on a red background knows how important that is! You also need to make sure that you have colors that match and complement one another as well.
Tip #4 – Good Content
Of course, you need to have quality content as well. Even if you have only static pages rather than a blog, the information that you provide must be high quality. You need to use your search terms, but you need to do so naturally.
Tip #5 – Incorporate Social Media
For attorney Internet marketing today, social media is more important than ever. You should include information as to how your clients can find you on the different social media sites. If you have blog content on your site, make sure people can share the content on their social networks by adding “share” and “like” buttons.
